Slovakian team Tatran Cierny Balog have STEAM TRAIN running between pitch and stands that blocks fans' sight

FANS currently barred from attending football matches are missing many things.

The excitement of travelling to the game with your friends, the highs of celebrating a last-minute winner, the joy of… seeing the 15:24 from Podbrezova block your view of the action?

The latter may be a fairly acquired taste, but it's one experienced by loyal supporters of Slovakian minnows Tatran Cierny Balog.

Their main stand is separated from the pitch by the Cierny Hron Railway line.

And from time to time, an old fashioned steam train will trundle along, temporarily blocking the action – but drawing polite applause from the crowd nonetheless.

With fans in the UK currently stuck at home, a video posted by The Terrace on Twitter of the charming scene in Slovakia evoked a wholesome response.

One wrote: "think we’ve found our second team."

Another joked: "Throw ins could prove tricky."

While a third observed: "Incredible. What happens if the ball goes into the train and it speeds off ha ha."

One train enthusiast added: "Choo Choo! As a railway need I need to visit this place."

Another pointed out that it could even provide the home side with a competitive advantage: "That's just crazy, amazing but it must be off putting for the visiting team!"
