'The lights are on but nobody's home' – Roy Keane says Marcus Rashford looks 'lost' at Man Utd amid major loss of form

MANCHESTER UNITED legend Roy Keane says Marcus Rashford looks 'lost' on a football pitch as the striker struggles for form.

Rashford, 24, missed the team's dramatic draw with Aston Villa on Saturday through injury.

But his recent performances were still a hot topic as Keane appeared as a pundit on Sky Sports for the Villa Park clash.

And outspoken Red Devils legend didn't hold back as he said 'the lights are on but nobody's home' for the England attacker.

Keane said: "What’s happened to Rashford? Man Utd have to get to the bottom of it, that’s part of the responsibility when you’re working with good, young players.

"He’s done amazing things over the last few years, amazing, on and off the pitch, but clearly there’s something amiss.

"I looked at him Monday night, the lights are on but there's nobody home. The kid looks lost.

"Sometimes with young players it’s confidence. It might be anything on the football pitch, it might be stuff off the field."

The tough Irish midfielder questioned the culture and mentality at the Old Trafford club.

Keane said: "To me, there’s something missing at Manchester United, there’s too many loose ends.

"Are these young players – Sancho, Rashford and Greenwood – are they still looking at some of the senior players?

The lights are on but there's nobody home. The kid looks lost.

"You’re hoping the senior players are setting a good example. Maybe all of them aren’t and maybe some of these young players aren’t so quick to do a little bit extra afterwards, and these are all the fine details you have to improve on.

"If the culture isn’t right at Manchester United, in terms of the pace of training, the tempo, people’s attitudes, the way they speak to the staff, if that’s not right, you’re going to notice it."

The Red Devils sit in seventh place in the Premier League, five points off a Champions League spot.

On Saturday evening, United's culture came into the spotlight again when boss Ralf Rangnick sensationally revealed that Anthony Martial refused to be involved in the clash with Villa.
