A beautiful gesture is made to Lola at the salon in EastEnders

Lola Pearce’s untimely death left Walford residents heartbroken, but her close friends are set to ensure that she is never forgotten as they make a touching tribute in upcoming EastEnders scenes.

During her time working at the salon, Lola formed a close bond with both Kim and Denise Fox (Tameka Empson and Diane Parish), who remained pillars of support for her until the very end.

Now, as what would have been her 27th birthday arrives, the sisters make a beautiful gesture to the hairdresser.

Lola’s family and friends all gather in the salon for the special day, where an emotional Denise unveils a plaque on Lola’s chair in dedication to her.

The gold plaque is surrounded by a frame of purple glitter, and is engraved with the words ‘Lola Pearce-Brown woz ‘ere’.

Lola’s family are touched by the heartfelt gesture as they fondly remember her.

Viewers will know that Lola was suffering from a brain tumour before she died, and underwent months of treatment to prolong her life.

Ultimately, the chemotherapy she had been undergoing stopped working, and Lola’s tumour spread.

Heartbreaking scenes saw Lola sadly pass away while Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) was out of the room, and daughter Lexi (Isabella Brown) was fast asleep by her side.

Lola was laid to rest in recent scenes which saw Lexi, Jay and Billy deliver heartfelt eulogies.

The ceremony was followed by a ‘Lola-fest’ style celebration in the Square, just as Lola had asked for.

Though Lola is no longer around, it is clear that Albert Square residents and viewers alike will remember her fondly for years to come.
