ANTIQUES Roadshow viewers were left scratching their heads after they watched the Christmas special of the show over the weekend.
Hosted by Fiona Bruce, viewers tucked into the festive episode on Sunday night – but there was a huge problem.
Fiona was seen donning a winter coat for the introduction, however, fans were then shown scenes that were filmed back in the summer, as opposed to the winter.
Introducing the episode, Fiona said: "Welcome to the Antiques Roadshow at Christmas."
The show, however, immediately panned to a summery setting in London – where antique lovers were wearing summer dresses and t-shirts.
Fiona continued: "We begin with a look back to our roadshow at Forty Hall in North London – filmed on a glorious summer's day in 2020.
"We saw so many items – we couldn't show them all – including some that looked a little out of place."
Viewers were immediately distracted by the surprising summer section of the show – and some took to social media to air their thoughts.
One bewildered fan took to Twitter and ranted: "Why do they call it Antiques Roadshow at Christmas?
"It's quite obviously summertime when they filmed this episode."
Echoing their comments, someone else said: "Christmas special segments that weren't interesting enough to make the regular show."
A third, meanwhile, shared a snap of the summery set and penned: "Christmas Antiques Roadshow special – it's all in the background."
On the official description of the programme, the BBC did state that the episode was to feature unseen footage from the 2021 series – as well as festive surprises.

The special edition did see Fiona present pieces to camera by Christmas trees.
The 57-year-old also sat down to look at Star Wars memorabilia, old-fashioned dolls and a teddy bear from 1907 worth over £1000.
