Apocalypse Wow: Scarlett Moffatt and Jess Wright lead line-up for bonkers new game show you won’t want to miss

We thought we’d seen it all when it came to new TV shows, but ITV have announced a brand new series that’s unlike anything viewers will have tuned into before.

ITV2’s Apocalypse Wow is a a bonkers but brilliant new superhuman game show, which sees a line-up of reality stars entering a “Torture Dome” to take on a series of epic but hilarious physical challenges.

The series will be hosted by AJ Odudu, as well as Hey Tracey’s Donna Preston who will takes on the role of ‘The Mistress’ of the Torture Dome – which has been described as “an outrageous secret underground club, part-BDSM dungeon, part Fight Club.”

Leading the famous faces into the Dome is Gogglebox and I’m a Celebrity star Scarlett Moffatt, who has been given the title of ‘Chief of the Clan’.

She’ll be joined by plenty of other familiar names, including former TOWIE stars Jess Wright and Bobby Norris, Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson, ex Love Island contestant Chris Hughes and Pussycat Dolls’ Kimberly Wyatt.

Completing the line-up and hoping to win big money for charity is TV presenter and former Strictly star Karim Zeroual, Ibiza Weekender’s Jordan Davies, Drag Queen The Vivienne and comedians Kemah Bob and Darren Harriott.

And it sounds like they’re each in for a wild ride, as five celebrities will take it in turns to enter the Dome and defeat various superhuman ‘Bosses.’

The wacky characters include one of the world’s strongest men, called Master Enormo, as well as Hot Slippy Jesus, the UK’s no.1 gravy wrestler.

As if all that wasn’t mad enough, the stars will also have to take on a back-flipping parkour master called The Horn Hunter and a Mermaid.

After teaming up to give it their all, the weakest celebrity will leave the dome, with a new star guest taking their place.

Revealing what viewers can expect, presenter AJ teased: “It’s bonkers, but brilliant. It’s full of humour, challenges and all our favourite celebrities. It’s going to be a really fun addition to the TV schedule this summer, so come join us – it’s quite a ride!”

Her co-host Donna Preston added: “I've always wanted to have ownership over these celebrities and have them as my servants and with this role, the Mistress, I can do just that. The role of the Mistress is feisty and fun.”


Meanwhile Scarlett Moffatt, said the series has to be seen to be truly believed. “It’s hard to put into words how bizarre and crazy Apocalypse Wow is,” she says.

“I had the most fun making the series and it's unlike anything I've ever seen on TV before so I’m super excited for everyone to see it. Trust me when I say, you’re not going to want to miss this!”

Apocalypse Wow will air on ITV2 and ITV Hub this summer
