Below Deck Sailing Yacht is heating up and fans are feeling the fire as the trailer teases a major rollercoaster ride. But the final few moments from the midseason trailer had fans doing a double-take.
Dani Soares, who recently shared that she is pregnant, jokes with Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux about how they should have sex and if she gets pregnant, then it is “God’s will.” The clip was not lost on fans. “It’s wild to see Dani talk about pregnancy and motherhood and now she’s pregnant, possibly with JLs baby?” one person tweeted during Monday night’s episode.
Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux took the midseason trailer with his final line
And while people were buzzing about Soares’ comment, many fans were surprised when Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux makes the final remark, “What the f**k is this sh*t?” he says alone in his cabin. Then revealing in a confessional, “Oh my God I got chlamydia again.” He’s then seen talking to Soares and she puts her hands over her face.
Fans lit up Twitter after seeing that moment. “Best closing line of a mid-season trailer – “Oh my God I got f***ing chlamydia again” this is why I [heart] Below Deck Sailing Yacht,” one person tweeted.
Another person wrote, “Wait. Hold the boat. #BelowDeckSailing did freaking JL just say ‘dammit I got chlamydia AGAIN’ ?!!!! WTF.”
“Looks like the 2nd half of the season gonna be crazy. Gary gonna Gary, girl on girl action, the boat crashes into the dock, and JL gets CHLAMYDIA?! AGAIN?!” a fan added on Twitter.
‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ second half will be wild
Viewers could not deny that the second part of the season will be action-packed. In addition to the drama between Soares and Cerza Lanaux, the crew seems to end up serving another group of yachties who arrive as charter guests. Some of the crew is busted talking smack behind another group of guests’ backs. Plus, do Soares and Alli Dore hook up? Gary King and Cerza Lanaux seem to be outside the door where the stews apparently get it on.
But the boat crash will certainly be riveting too. Captain Glenn Shephard described the scenario to Showbiz Cheat Sheet, revealing that he could physically feel the crash from the helm.
“That particular [accident], I felt it,” he said, adding that he wasn’t injured but “felt the impact.”
“And when I’m feeling the impact I’m fearing the worst and thinking ‘Oh my God this is really, really bad,’” he added. “In the end, it’s not quite as bad as I feared. So I may have overreacted a little bit. But yeah, it’s pretty serious.”
Shephard later shared what the damage amounted to financially. He revealed that a crash like that would cost between $10,000 to $20,000 to repair. “We were lucky as the paint company owed us a respray of the transom,” he shared on a Reddit AMA. “A repair like that would probably run $10k-$20k. Nothing is cheap on these boats. It could have been a lot worse. That is always covered by insurance. The boats are well insured.”
