Chadwick Boseman’s Brother Approves of Campaign to Recast T’Challa in ‘Black Panther’

Derrick claims his late actor brother would have wanted the King of Wakanda to return to Marvel Cinematic Universe with a different actor for the upcoming sequel.

AceShowbizChadwick Boseman‘s brother has weighed in on the possibility of T’Challa getting recast in Marvel Cinematic Universe for the next “Black Panther” movie. Derrick approved of the idea and claimed his late brother would have wanted his character to go on with a different actor in order to continue inspiring young black fans and many others.

Marvel’s top executives previously vowed they would not recast the superhero character following the actor’s untimely passing.

Meanwhile, fans were divided. Many insisted MCU should retire the character but a lot of others still wanted to see the favorite monarch return to Wakanda and they recently launched a campaign to get their hope materialized.

Production for the second movie “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” has been put on pause. It’s expected to resume next year with the sequel aiming at a November 2022 release.

The delay was allegedly caused by Letitia Wright‘s injury. The actress who played Chadwick’s onscreen sister Shuri in the blockbuster comic book franchise has remained in London since September.

Just recently, the brunette star was rumored to give up her role in the upcoming film because of Covid-19 vaccine which was mandatory for Marvel crew and cast. The actress, who repeatedly doubted the legitimacy of Covid-19 vaccine, allegedly refused to get a jab and her injury was just a cover for her objection against the vaccine mandate.

Although she previously said she was looking forward to returning to the set next year in order to resume production, it might be difficult for her to fly back to the United States for filming if she didn’t get the jab because international travelers coming to American soil are now required to be fully vaccinated.

Neither Marvel nor Letitia responded to rumors of her exit.
