Clarkson’s Farm fans have been loving the chaotic developments of Jeremy Clarkson maintain his farm. The show follows Clarkson from the point of taking over the management to perfecting his farming skills. But is the farm in the series real?

Is Jeremy Clarkson’s farm real?

Clarkson’s Farm, or under its real name, Diddly Squat Farm is a real working farm that was formerly part of the Sarsden estate, in Chipping Norton in the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire.

In fact, fans of the series can actually visit the farm as it is a shop which sells produce grown across the land.

Clarkson originally bought the farm back in 2008 which included around 1000 acres including Curdle Hill Farm.

Originally run by a manager Clarkson put in place and only calls Howard throughout the show, the series begins when he decides to try his hands at farming himself.

Clarkson named the farm Diddle Squat, which means of little significance, to represent the lack of activity when he took over.

The documentary series picks up with the farm in September of 2019, charting the course of action Clarkson took to bring the farm to glory again.

The star recently sat down with Hello Magazine to explain just why he wanted to take over the management of the farm.

He explained while he was filming Top Gear and then The Grand Tour, the farm was just “a nice thing to have” as it didn’t cost anything to maintain.

Clarkson said: “It was run by a chap from the village who was a farmer, and then when he was retiring, I suddenly thought, ‘I can do that.’”

Girlfriend Lisa Hogan was also interviewed and gave fans an insight

“We thought it worked well and wanted to keep it.

“We played around with another couple of names, but everyone’s eyes seemed to light up when you told them it was called Diddly Squat Farm.”

Fans have been rushing to visit the farm since the show premiered on June 11, 2021.

It was reported that the police had to get involved to manage congestion when fans poured into the farm.

For those further away, the is also an online shop that offers fans to buy some of the produce the farm creates.

On Twitter, Clarkson responded to the reception of the series, saying: “I’m genuinely amazed at the response to Clarkson’s Farm. Thank you all so much for your kind words.”

Currently, there is no word from Amazon Prime on if the show will get a second season, with Clarkson also unsure on the continuation of the series.

One fan asked on Twitter: “@JeremyClarkson please tell me that there is more of Clarkson’s farm to come. It is delightful.”

Clarkson responded: “That’s a decision for @primevideouk.”

For now, fans will have to visit the real working farm to get more from the farming series.

Clarkson’s Farm is available to watch exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
