Coronation Street and Brookside legend Louis Emerick lands first Hollywood role alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger

SOAP legend Louis Emerick, who played Mick Johnson in Brookside for 12 years, has landed his first Hollywood role alongside A-listers Arnold Schwarzenegger and Michael Fassbender.

Kung Fury 2 is the sequel to the 2015 English-language Swedish martial arts comedy featurette film, written and directed by David Sandberg.

Louis is somewhat of a British acting legend having appeared as Trevor in the feature film Layer Cake with Daniel Craig, and spending 12 years as Mick Johnson in Brookside.

He also had a recurring role of PC Walsh in Last of the Summer Wine and has just been seen in new BBC2 comedy series The Other One.

But he’s now gone from soap land to LaLa Land as he’s just finished filming on the Hollywood movie Kung Fury 2.

While it’s not clear what role Louis plays in the film, he will be appearing alongside Terminator icon Arnold Swarzenegger and MacBeth star Michael Fassbender.
