Coronation Street: Carla Connor fires Stephen Reid
Coronation Street residents are still none the wiser to Stephen Reid’s (played by Todd Boyce) murders, as he has been getting away with it daily.
He recently received a shock when Carla Connor (Alison King) revealed she was selling her shares to Underworld to focus on Ryan Connor’s (Ryan Prescott) recovery and her own mental health.
She explained to Stephen she already had a buyer lined up and needed him to get the finances in check as they needed to see before buying.
However, Stephen began to panic as he had taken life insurance out of Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox) and used the company’s accounts to transfer money.
Under the increasing pressure, he recently tried to convince Elaine that they needed to re-mortgage the house so he could buy Carla’s shares.
Unimpressed with the idea, Elaine snapped back: “Why would I re-mortgage the flat just to sink it into Carla’s share of Underworld?
“That is supposed to be my safety net. I don’t need that millstone around my neck.”
Eagle-eyed fans picked up on her comment and feared she was foreshadowing her own death and how she will die.
Taking to Twitter Teena Massam noted: “Stephen’s nearly had enough of Elaine, she’ll be ending up in the bin… #Corrie.”

@craggsy82 exclaimed: “Oh s***, Elaine Watch out, Stephen is desperate again. #corrie.”
@itzzzo_ asked: “Does Elaine ever stop to think why Stephen is wanting her money? #Corrie.”
@DavidMackayy theorised: “Stephens back which means another death is on the cards. I’m gonna say Elaine’s gonna die and the murder weapon is.. a spatula #corrie.”
Tony Manders commented: “Elaine needs to watch herself. I doubt it’ll be long before that house is Stephen’s and she won’t be around to have her say.”
@NollyRofs said: “Oh Elaine… you should not have said that my dear. I feel she is gonna be next.” (sic)
Stephen actor Todd Boyce recently admitted that the blood “drained from my face” when he found out he was going to be a murderer.

Speaking about the role he told Express.co.uk and other press: “I had no clue I was going to be a murderer.
“There was a nice period of time that they checked my availability for and I think the blood probably drained from my face when he said, ‘You are going to be a murderer’.
“And then I thought, ‘Oh my god I am going to be a baddy’, then the blood came back to my face and I thought this is going to be amazing, and he kindly wanted to see if that was ok with me.”
