Coronation Street spoiler for May 31, 2023: Paul Foreman gets news | The Sun

PAUL Foreman is grasping every hope he can after being diagnosed with motor neurone disease.

Tonight in Coronation Street, the builder finds out if he's suitable for a potential treatment.

Paul (played by Peter Ash) was diagnosed with the life-shortening condition earlier in the year and has been struggling to accept the news.

Thrown in a race against his illness, Paul decided to do whatever it takes to provide for his family before it's too late – which included risking a prison sentence after he was caught stealing Rufus Donahue's car.

The beloved character kept his health and legal ordeals a secret from his closest relatives and his partner, Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank).

However, the vicar eventually found out what Paul had been hiding after sneaking into his trial in recent scenes aired on ITV.

Prior to this, Paul was desperately trying to find a solution to all his problems and stumbled upon a potential treatment for MND, Tofersen, after a thorough online search.

Paul has been hoping the medication could help him recover from the illness and has yet to find out if he's suitable for it.

This is all about to change during tonight's trip to the cobbles as Paul reveals he will finally be told if the Tofersen could work on him.

Billy decides to support his other half by accompanying him to his appointment with the MND specialist.
