Coronation Street viewers were left distracted as they tuned into the latest instalment of the ITV soap.
Fans watching Friday's (May 12) episode were issued a warning from an announcer.
The message from the voiceover revealed that the episode contained "scenes of Ryan's distress which viewers may find upsetting."

Viewers watching at home immediately took to their keyboards to discuss the announcement.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "With scenes of Ryan's distress that viewers may find upsetting…" with a broken heart emoji.
Another added: "Distress, upsetting, more distress blah blah blah and so on #corrie."
A third person posted: "#Corrie "Ryan's distress" with two crying face emojis.
While a fourth social media user said: "Ryan’s distress – no bloody wonder, Daisy bad mouthing him."
"Upsetting scenes it is #Corrie," someone else penned.
Over in Weatherfield, Daisy Midgley (Charlotte Jordan) went on to check on Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott).
However, the visit didn't go to planned as Ryan revealed he overheard her prior conversation with fiancé Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).
After throwing Daisy out of his flat, Ryan ran to the toilet to be sick.
Daisy shared her concerns about Ryan with Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) but Jenny told her not to be so hard on herself as she reckons Crystal might cheer him up.
At the mention of her alter ego, Daisy scrambled in her bag and realised she’s left her spare phone at home.
Meanwhile feeling desperately ill, Ryan called Crystal and left a message. Alone in the flat, Ryan drifts into unconsciousness.
Daisy has been continuing with her plan to cheer Ryan up during his recovery by texting him under the guise of Ibiza DJ Crystal.
The real Crystal had previously made it clear to Daisy that she wanted nothing to do with Ryan following his injuries.
Daisy then made the questionable decision to send Ryan a message, supposedly from Crystal, that would lift his spirits before his procedure.
The lie has been going on for weeks but how will Ryan react when he learns the truth?
