Coronation Street: Ryan leaving Weatherfield
Coronation Street’s Jenny Connor (played by Sally Ann Matthews) is set to face a devastating reality as the iconic Rovers Return pub faces closure.
The historic pub has been at the centre of Weatherfield since the soap began, but official ITV spoilers reveal owner Jenny will reveal it might soon be time to close its doors.
In scenes set to air soon, Jenny confides in Owen Longford (Ben Hull) that the Rovers is struggling financially.
When he suggests she should sell up, Jenny becomes annoyed and makes it clear that won’t be an option.
Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) suggests that rather than increasing prices, she should reduce portion sizes.

How will the new hot pots go down with the regulars?
Later, a loud bang from the kitchen alerts Jenny before the lights go out.
Jenny tells Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) and Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) that on Stephen’s advice, she’s putting up bar prices and room rentals.
The staff are also shocked to discover she’s cutting their shifts, and customers are unimpressed by the price hike.

Meanwhile, barmaid Gemma Winter-Brown (Dolly-Rose Campbell) starts work for Harry Newton, having lied to husband Chesney Winter-Brown (Sam Aston) that she’ll be in a different department.
But when he spots Gemma getting into Henry’s car, how will Chesney react?
Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) hands out flyers to promote a Darts Night, but when nobody turns up, Jenny is left utterly deflated.
Having found Kirk Sutherland Andy Whyment), Gary Windass (Mikey North), George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) and Sean drinking beer and playing darts in Ed Bailey’s (Trevor Michael Georges) backyard, a tearful Jenny confides in Daisy that with trade the way it is, they’re only weeks away from closing for good.

Will Jenny have to close the Weatherfield pub permanently?

He may end up proposing to save the pub but if he invests in the local business he might make many changes to it.
The locals have no idea the serial killer has such dark intentions, so will Jenny end up trusting him if he offers a solution?
