Coronation Street fans are convinced Hope Stape might stretch to murder, as the trauma of her parents’ separation takes its toll.
The schoolgirl, who is the biological daughter of serial killer John Stape, previously set the Underworld factory ablaze, leaving her parents gravely concerned.
On Wednesday evening’s episode, Hope (Isabella Flanagan) could be seen seated on the stairs, her head peering out through the bannisters as her parents argued below.
Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) has fallen for Romanian beauty Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu), cheating on long-term partner Fiz Brown (Jenny McAlpine) in recent scenes.
Things came to a head this evening, when Tyrone spelt his feelings out to Fiz, making it clear their broken relationship was beyond repair.
The former flames argued in the living room, pointing fingers at who was to blame for their shattered family unit.
Meanwhile, Hope cuddled a toy unicorn on the stairs, visibly upset after listening to her parents rowing over the affair.
Watching from home, certain fans wondered whether Hope would regress to old behaviour and turn to arson for a second time.
The child has attended a behavioural school in the past to help her deal with her issues, but Tyrone and Fiz’s split could leave her struggling to process the trauma.
Some fans wondered whether Hope would target the factory, where Alina works, or whether she would try to burn down the family home.

So far, Tyrone and Fiz's devastating separation has sought to highlight the reality of families getting torn apart by infidelity.
