Dancing on Ice's Kimberly Wyatt crashes onto the ice after failed attempt at inverted splits ahead of live show

DANCING on Ice's Kimberly Wyatt crashed down during a brave attempt at doing the splits on ice.

The Pussycat Dolls star, 40, now faces a nerve-wracking wait to see if she can pull it off tonight.

Our exclusive pictures show the moment Kimberly hit the deck after losing her balance when the inverted splits went wrong.

"This was a lift that I've always idolised," Kimberly told The Sun.

"I've always been like is there a way that I could do it?"

"We tried it today…..and I didn't do it!", she laughed.

Kimberly added: "You've really just got to get the timing and everything right, getting into the splits, inverting the splits, trying to get the landing and coming up, so this is my headbanger!"

Kimberly almost manages to nail the tough challenge before landing on her bottom.

DOI's Connor Ball gets treatment for a nasty cut on his leg ahead of quarter-final

Looking defeated, she sits on the ice with her partner Mark Hanretty standing behind her.

Thankfully she wasn't injured and will tonight give the inverted splits on ice another ago.

Her co-star Connor Ball had to undergo treatment for a nasty cut on his leg ahead of tonight's quarter final.

It comes after The Vamps star, 25, crashed to the ice last weekend with partner Alexandra Schaumann during their pirate theme dance.

The musician was left with a gory gash after the tumble, and has kept fans up-to-date with how he is.

Now Conor has revealed he is having special treatment so he is fit and well for Dancing On Ice tomorrow night.

So far the DOI competition has Connor pushed him to his limit.

He's taken a few nasty tumbles in the live shows along the way, two of which have required stitches.

Last weekend the singer, whose chin started bleeding live on air earlier in the series, suffered a horrific accident where partner Alexandra blade sliced his leg.

Connor needed medical treatment straight after the routine in which he was dressed as a pirate.

  • Dancing on Ice continues tonight at 6.30pm on ITV.
