WITH a baby on the way, Ricky Jr. is beginning to dread the idea of being a father.
And with his mother Sam Mitchell deciding to jet off to Spain, EastEnders fans believe bosses have made a huge mistake.
The troublemaker came back to Walford in April, 2022, with Kim Medcalf taking over the role from Danniella Westbrook.
Six years after she was last seen, Sam proved she was still not one to be underestimated as she continued to ruffle feathers.
Months went by and she came very close to starting a new life in Germany when former flame Ricky Butcher made it clear he was ready to give their romance another go.
Sam, who has been desperate to mend her relationship with her son Ricky Jr., chose to stay behind – but Don knew exactly how to get her to pay attention.

Last night's trip to Albert Square showed Sam take her former fiancé's up on a business offer in Spain and, despite Ricky being disappointed in her decision, she packed up her things and left.
However, Sam's exit took some convincing from Honey Mitchell who reminded her that Ricky will soon have to be a father.
With money becoming scarce in Slater household, Sam knew Ricky could definitely use the cash she could provide for him.
Off-screen, viewers have been less than pleased to see Sam leave and are hoping her exit is temporary – which may well be the case.

Rumours have been circulating online and, according to them, Kim Medcalf hasn't left Walford for good.
Viewers of the London-based drama have taken to a Digital Spy forum to express their disapproval of Sam's departure.
"I hope it is a break, and that she comes back loaded. With more money than Phil, and see the tables turn", one of them penned.
Another echoed: "Delighted she'll be coming back at some point. One of the best things about the show in the last year and I think the character has so much more to give."
"I am disappointed that Sam has left it was a year since she returned so I think her contract is up", a third viewer chimed in.
Some viewers were more drastic as they voiced their opinions.

"I really hope she isn't going, she's the only reason I got back into the show in the first place! Going to be very disappointed", another wrote before fuming: "and I will be f*cking furious if I find out Kim Medcalf was axed."
One fan sighed: "Be a shame if she leaves, she's a great character and gives an old school feel to EE also."
But while they continued to complain and hope for Sam to return, viewers had a bitter reminder that some exits they predicted to be temporary seem more permanent than they would have liked.
Such is the case of Shirley Carter actress Linda Henry who left the soap in the aftermath of Mick's disappearance in December, 2022.
Linda Henry was said to only be taking a few months' break but has yet to come back to Albert Square.
