EASTENDERS star Ricky Champ's wife Samantha has revealed they suffered a tragic miscarriage before falling pregnant with their second child.
Ricky, who plays Stuart Highway in the BBC1 soap, revealed the news of baby number two last month.
But during a Q&A with her Instagram followers Samantha opened up about the sad loss and confessed she feels lucky to have conceived again so quickly.
One person asked: "What baby number 2 planned?"
Samantha replied: "Yes baby 2 was planned. I always wanted to wait until B was more independent, but not so long that they wouldn't be close.
"We had a loss in August which was very sad, so I feel lucky to have fallen pregnant again so soon after."
Ricky and Samantha already have a four-year-old daughter called Beatrix.
His EastEnders character and wife Rainie Cross previously suffered a similar situation to Ricky and Samantha.

The fictional couple were left heartbroken when Rainie was rushed to hospital shortly after sharing her pregnancy joy with Stuart.
Despite the couple's elation at the prospect of becoming parents, during a scan the doctor shared the devastating news that there was no baby.
Ricky is currently involved in another big storyline, which saw Stuart diagnosed with breast cancer.
Of the storyline, Ricky said: "I feel honoured to be trusted with such an important storyline. We will see Stuart really struggle with the fact he has cancer, and to learn that it's breast cancer is really difficult for him to understand.
