Emmerdale actor wishes co-star wife happy birthday with heartfelt tribute post

Emmerdale’s Mark Jordon penned a beautiful note to his co-star wife Laura Norton ahead of her birthday on Monday.

The 58-year-old soap star shouted out his now 40-year-old other half Laura on Instagram and attached a collage of images to the sweet message.

Uploading snaps of the couple together the Hearbeat actor also added one shot of their two children – daughter Ronnie, who they welcomed in October 2022 and their son, two-year-old Jesse.

Alongside the collection of memories, the actor flexed his writing muscles and typed out a poetic note to his spouse.

It read: ‘So this beautiful human, the keeper of my heart, mother of two special little babies, celebrates her birthday today.

‘I’m so incredibly lucky to have shared this last decade as her friend , fiance and father of her children. She has the kindest heart and the biggest smile. Our adventures are only just starting [sic].’

Friends and fans of the real life TV couple rushed to the comments to wish Laura a special day and praise Mark for his sweet words.

Mark and Laura met on the set of the ITV soap while playing Daz Spencer and Kerry Wyatt respectively.

They announced that they were engaged in 2018 following which Laura explained during a chat with the Loose Women panel: ‘When we first told each other we liked each other we just went, “Shall we just leave it? Shall we just stay as friends? It’s probably best”.’

Mark’s birthday message came after the couple revealed the heartbreaking news of their children’s illness.

In February of this year, they explained that both of their babies suffered from a rare condition named Usher syndrome – that affected both hearing and vision.

They decided to share the diagnosis during an interview with Hello! Magazine and Mark said: ‘We’ve agonised about doing this before we’ve even told our children about their condition… we’re going to write them a letter to explain why we did this and show then when they’re old enough to understand.’
