Emmerdale fans were left scratching their heads after spotting an obvious blunder while Dan Spencer was charged with grievous bodily harm (GBH).

During Monday’s visit (July 10) to the ITV Dales, fans caught up the loveable dad who recently found himself in hot water after he violently attacked his daughter’s stalker Lloyd.

Earlier in the week, the assailant visited her hair salon and cornered Amelia after he fell in love with her videos and decided to befriended her online posing as a woman.

One the protective dad heard about it, he put matters into his own hands and punched him which left him fighting for his lift in hospital.

While the creep continues to receive treatment on the ward, Dan is charged with GBH and released on bail which he hides from his anxious daughter.

After watching the dramatic scenes play out on screen, fans flooded to Twitter to share their concerns for his future online.

While his fate hangs in the balance, viewers couldn’t help but ask how Amelia's father had been charged without getting her statement.

One user penned: “#emmerdale Have these stupid coppers even interviewed Amelia yet??”

Another asked: “Wait a minute. Have the police not talked to Amelia…and searched every nook & cranny for the teenage pest's mobile and laptop devices #Emmerdale”

A third echoed: “They've not even questioned or gone through Amelia's phone ffs. #Emmerdale” as a fourth pointed out: “You'd think they would interview Amelia. But that would be too convenient #Emmerdale.”

So far, the blonde bombshell believes that her dad has only been helping the police with their investigation.

During tonight's episode, officers told the doting dad that they had no reason to suspect Lloyd for stalking Amelia after combing through his mobile phone and computer.

The only incriminating evidence they found on her assailants phone was a voicemail from Dan where he threatened to kill Lloyd if he ever came near Amelia again.

Emmerdale airs on weekdays from 7.30pm on ITV1.
