Emmerdale fans work out heartbreaking twist for vicar Charles Anderson after dad's shock return | The Sun

EMMERDALE fans are convinced they have worked out the tragic twist and real reason for Charles Anderson dad Victor's return.

Victor (Eddie Osei) arrived onto the Dales after serving over quarter of a century in a high-security prison.



ITV bosses have teased that Victor has a mysterious past and connections within the village.

Fans have speculated what his arrival may mean for both Charles (Kevin Mathurin) and Victor's ex wife Claudette (Flo Wilson) and what secrets he has been hiding about his past from them.

Some fans are convinced that Victor is dying or terminally ill, which is the reason why he wants to reconnect with is family.

An eagle-eyed viewer pointed out: "He [Victor] made a cryptic comment when talking to Naomi about not having long, so has he come to die. Then all will be forgiven."

Another agreed adding: "I think that he is dying and wants to be with his family when he takes his last breath."

Emmerdale producer, Hannah Cheers, teased: "Victor's arrival in Emmerdale turns life for the Andersons upside down.

"The brilliant addition of Eddie Osei as Victor has allowed us to learn more about who the Andersons are and we can't wait for the audience to watch as the drama unfolds.

"While Claudette is confronted by the husband she prayed she'd never see again, Charles has to face up to painful past traumas and he makes no secret of the fact that Victor is not welcome here. But who will win out?"

Eddie Osei, who plays Victor, added: "I feel privileged to be joining such a great show.
