Emmerdale legend played two roles in Coronation Street before Rhona Goskrik fame

Emmerdale favourite Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) was left furious in recent scenes of the ITV soap as Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) refused to back her after violent altercation with Naomi Walters (Karene Peters).

Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) dripped poison about Naomi in Rhona's ear after the latter's stepdaughter April Windsor's (Amelia Flanagan) behaviour became increasingly problematic.

April wanted to defend pal Arthur Thomas (Alfie Clarke) from classmate Marshall's cruel joke and punched Marshall in the café.

Nicola immediately called Rhona, who arrived to confront April, uninterested in the teen's attempts to explain.

When Nicola intervened, Rhona initially refused to blame Naomi's influence but when April revealed a painful belly button piercing, Rhona recalled spotting Naomi's piercings and jumped to conclusions that this was all down to her.

Naomi insisted that she had nothing to do with April's rule-breaking, but Rhona was so determined that she tried to pull the other woman's top up to prove she also had a belly button piercing.

Rhona's actions led to Naomi lashing out, pushing Rhona to the floor just as Marlon walked in.

When Rhona revealed what had happened, Marlon instructed Naomi to go to the kitchen while he spoke to his wife.

However, when it became clear that Marlon didn't buy into Rhona's story that his assistant was a bad influence on their daughter, Rhona erupted with anger, hurt that Marlon had publicly sided with Naomi.

Actress Zoe Henry has played Rhona in Emmerdale since 2001.

The popular character has been part of some huge storylines over the years, including her romance with Marlon, giving birth to their son Leo, who has Down Syndrome, and bringing rapist Pierce Harris (Jonathan Wrather) to justice.

But before she was in the Dales, Zoe actually had a role in rival ITV soap Coronation Street.

Zoe once played Spider Nugent’s (Martin Hancock) vegan girlfriend Log Thwaite back in 1998.

She was hated by Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) who had her sights set on Emily Bishop's eco-warrior nephew herself.

Toyah wanted to get rid of vegan Log and managed to convince her to eat a bacon sandwich, before making sure that Spider caught her.

He immediately dumped Log for not being committed to the vegan cause and Log left the soap after six episodes.

Zoe returned to cobblei in 2007 as Casey Carswell, who befriended Claire Peacock (Julia Haworth) but ended up having an affair with Ashley Peacock (Steven Arnold).

She then went on to kidnap the couple’s baby son Freddie.

Her other early credits include Dalziel and Pascoe, The Bill, A Touch of Frost, Casualty and Doctors.

EastEnders fans might recognise Zoe for playing police officer Detective Constable Deanne Cunningham back in 2009, who was investigating the discovery of character Trina Johnson's body.

Emmerdale airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV at 7.30pm
