Whilst Emmerdale’s storm caused a lot of destruction, there was a small positive to come of it, in the form of Amelia’s (Daisy Campbell) new baby.
Having gone into labour as the wind picked up, Amelia found herself trapped in a barn alone, before Lydia (Karen Blick) found her and came to the rescue.
Safely in hospital, Amelia was supported by Charity (Emma Atkins) and Kerry (Laura Norton) as she gave birth to a baby girl.
Despite being early, the baby was healthy, much to Amelia’s relief.
We know that the baby is a little girl, but one detail we haven’t yet been privy to is the name.
Next week, Amelia will reveal the name of her daughter to dad Dan (Liam Fox), who will be overcome by emotion. But what name would cause such a visceral reaction?
One of the victims of the storm was Harriet (Katherine Dow Blyton), who was very close to Amelia, as well as being Dan’s girlfriend. Perhaps Amelia will call the baby Harriet in her honour.
Alternatively, Amelia’s own mum, Ali (Kelli Hollis) died in an off-screen car accident in 2018. Before that, her wife Ruby was a victim of the helicopter crash of 2015.
Could Ali or Ruby be an option for the little girl’s name?
Of course, we can’t rule out that the baby’s name will be an ode to Dan himself, perhaps Danielle or Daniella?
