Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) left Coronation Street for Norwich tonight, after 22 years on the show.
With actress Jennie McAlpine expecting her third child, Corrie have temporarily written the character out of the show, by sending her down to Norfolk.
Fiz recently accepted a job as an Underworld supervisor after being offered the opportunity by Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce).
While the job boasted a salary of double what Fiz was already earning, it sadly meant moving to East Anglia and leaving her family behind.
Encouraged by husband Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall), Fiz accepted the opportunity, and waved goodbye to Weatherfield in recent scenes.
In emotional scenes, Fiz said farewell to her family before heading off to catch her train.
That wasn’t the last we saw of her though, as she made the effort to video call as soon as she’d settled in her new place.
She showed off her new digs, boasting about the views and her big telly, before asking Hope (Isabella Flanagan) if she was okay.
Concerned Hope was desperate to know if Fiz would be coming back, and she assured her she would be.
Of course, Fiz had a whole list of instructions for clueless Tyrone, who appeared more overwhelmed by the second.
Will Tyrone be able to cope with a houseful of unruly women – and lodger Kirk Sutherland (Andrew Whyment) – until Fiz gets home?
