Four in a Bed owner blasts 'hurtful' complaints as guests rip into 'cheap and tired' room | The Sun

ONE Four in a Bed owner was left severely unhappy with a series of 'hurtful' comments over the state of his accommodation.

Tom and Angela welcomed their fellow B&B owners to visit their four-star Welsh retreat, Penrallt Country House Hotel on the Channel 4 show.

The location of the accommodation wowed their guest at first thanks to its idyllic placing but it didn't take too long until opinion started to change.

Fellow contenders Ceri and Jonathan did not hold back as they slammed Tom and Angela's offering over its 'unclean' state and told them they needed to try harder after finding 'dust and hair' in their bedroom.

Ceri also blasted the decor as she told of how the curtains brought the room down and left it feeling rather unenjoyable to stay in.

Not holding back, Ceri fumed over the "cheap and tired" room, saying: "It was an amazing view, it was wow, and you've got this amazing mahogany furniture, then there's the grey furlough sofa, it just looked cheap.

"And the little coffee table didn't quite match, it looked quite modern and the curtain lining is actually coming away from the curtains and it took that wow away from everything.

"I just felt the room was tired."

Owner Tom was left floored by her savage comments and admitted that the room had just undergone a renovation.

He hit back and told Ceri her comments were "hurtful", saying: "That's actually quite hurtful.

Despite Ceri attempting to argue that she was being constructive, Tom was having none of it.

He told her that he did not thing she was entirely being "constructive", appearing to allude to the fact that she had stirred up trouble for no reason.

Tom added: "I feel they're a little unfair personally."

Sadly for Tom and Angela, when the final scores and payments were totted up, they fell flat and finished in last place after securing just 89% of their nightly rate.

Four in a Bed airs daily on Channel 4.
