GOGGLEBOX fans have breathed a sigh of relief as Jenny and Lee's shock absence is explained after fearing they had secretly quit.
Friday night's edition of the Channel 4 show had viewers flocking to Twitter in a panic to ask after best friends Jenny Newby and Lee Riley, who did not feature at all.
The pals have been series regulars since they joined the Channel 4 series back in 2014, and are incredibly popular with fans at home.
They have been so committed to the show that Jenny even moved into Lee's caravan last year so that they could continue filming while abiding to the government's lockdown rules amid the pandemic.
But on Friday, they had disappeared from our screens for seemingly no reason – and viewers weren't going to take it lying down.
Taking to social media, one wrote: "Having a strop tonight!! Missing Lee and Jenny".
Another echoed: "Just me who’s thinking where on earth Jenny and Lee are??"
A third exclaimed: "Jenny and Lee haven't quit, right?!"
Thankfully, Jenny and Lee's place on the show is secure, they are just on holiday in Northern Cyprus enjoying a well earned break.
A recent Instagram snap on Lee's partner Steve's profile showed the pair enjoying a spot of bingo in Karsiyaka.
Steve, who lives on the island, was thrilled that Lee had flown over for his birthday, and shared a loved up snap of them together.
He wrote alongside it: ""Had the best birthday celebrations ever here in sunny Cyprus. Absolutely delighted my better half flew over to celebrate with me.
"See you next Friday on the tele safe flight back to Blighty love you forever #missyou."
Steve was equally delighted to see Jenny as well, writing: "Just when you think you couldn’t be surprised anymore, then the adorable Jenny turns up for a spot of bingo and a belated birthday drink or two #enjoyinglife #sunnycyprus #gogglebox."
Gogglebox airs Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4.
