Noel Fielding says Bake Off has ‘gone back to basics’
Great British Bake Off viewers have been left “gutted” over Keith’s elimination on tonight’s episode of the Channel 4 cooking show.
Keith failed to impress Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith during biscuit week after he struggled with a tricky showstopper and tough technical challenge.
During the showstopper challenge, the 60-year-old presented his illusion biscuits to the judges, but Paul was not pleased with one element of the bake.
Keith tried to make a biscuit look like a tomato, but Paul held it up to show the rest of the tent to highlight how it didn’t look anything like one.
Keith tried to make a joke about the situation, but when his competitor Josh’s tomato biscuit was highly praised by Paul, he looked seriously disheartened.

Josh’s illusion bake, which was a burger and chips, was so amazing that he received the prestigious Hollywood handshake for it.
Viewers flocked to Twitter to comment on how the cameras panned to Keith’s deflated face as Josh’s tomato was commended.
Blaynos said: “The editing in Bake Off this week… A tomato tragedy for Keith, his heart ripped out by Josh.”
Hol wrote: “The way they help up Josh’s tomato and the camera panned to Keith was so uncalled for #GBBO.”
Roz noted: “Keith’s heart broke into pieces when Paul looked at Josh’s tomato #GBBO.”
