Hollyoaks cast Emmerdale legend Tony Mooney as soap’s new villain | The Sun

HIT soap Hollyoaks have cast Emmerdale legend Tony Mooney as their new villain.

The 56-year-old star is best known for appearing as PC Pete Readyough in every episode of police drama Scott and Bailey.

He’s set to join hit soap Hollyoaks as a character named Les the Embalmer and he arrives on screen as early as next week, as an associate of local villa Norman Crow, who is played by Glynis Barber.

As well as his role in Scott and Bailey, Tony also appeared in ITV soap Emmerdale between 2003 and 2006, and he also appeared in every episode of the cult comedy series Clocking Off.

Hollyoaks viewers have been many villains settle in Chester of the years, and Tony is set to bring the drama.

Meanwhile, it’s all going on this week with Saul Reeves' death as a source of great pain for Hollyoaks residents, and everyone believes DeMarcus Westwood is responsible.

Terrified of the consequences of such an accusation, the lad portrayed by Tomi Ade fled Chester, hiding away from legal trouble.

But while he's nowhere to be found, DS Zoe Anderson (played by Garcia Brown) notices DeMarcus' father Felix (Richard Blackwood) has been acting strange.

She soon becomes suspicious and believes he may know where his son is hiding.

As she tries to give her romance with Sam Chen-Williams a shot, Felix ruins the mood by walking in on them.

And that’s not all, with the upcoming week seeing Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) getting a terrifying visitor, Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) navigating daddy day-care, and Norma leaving death threats for one villager and his family.

Hollyoaks airs on Channel 4.
