Grace Dent has been spotted for the first time since her shock exit from I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! which saw her removed by bosses after concerns from viewers.
News that the food critic had quit the jungle emerged on Monday, 27 November after a statement was issued by ITV bosses.
A spokesperson said: "Unfortunately Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds. She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike."
Just hours after the announcement, Grace was spotted leaving Australia as she checked into her flight home at Brisbane Airport. The 50 year old looked tired and her clothes looked noticeably looser than when she arrived.
Grace checked in for the 23:25 Singapore Airlines flight to Singapore for the first leg of her journey and was accompanied by security. She was then taken through a VIP entrance to departures rarely used by celebs.
According to sources Grace refused to talk to any press at the airport and kept her head down as she rushed through the terminal. A show source said: "She is feeling like s**t and just wants to get on the plane and sleep."
According to an insider, Grace's exit from the jungle was "mutually agreed" between herself and ITV bosses after they were forced to intervene. It comes after viewers at home noticed that the star had "zoned out" and feared she was struggling in the jungle.
The source close to Grace revealed to MailOnline that the food critic had decided to leave "soon after" it was revealed that she would be taking on the next latest Bushtucker Trial. They said knowing she'd have to take on another challenge was "the straw that broke the camel's back".
They continued: "It was mutually agreed upon that she would stand down from the competition, it was clear that she wasn't being herself, she had lost all energy when usually she's witty and fun to be around.
"ITV's duty of care and welfare teams had stepped in, and rightly so.
"She had struggled since living in the camp with less amenities, the weather this year has been particularly miserable and as a restaurant critic, not eating well proved to be harder than she could have ever imagined."
The source ended by saying that Grace is "looking forward to seeing her loved ones" and after a few days of "recovery will be fine."
Another source close to Grace said they thought the diet of rice and beans "had been a real shock to the system". They added: "She is a food critic so is of course used to trying lots of different things and fine dining and eating when she wants. The camp maybe was harder than she realised going in."
