Where is former Emmerdale actor Asan N’jie now?

Former Emmerdale actor Asan N’jie was the actor behind Ellis Chapman, Jessie Dingle (played by Sandra Marvin) and late Al Chapman’s (Michael Wildman) son for a year.

This was until the 28-year-old was forced to leave the soap after footage came out of N’jie in a row Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas at the TV Choice Awards in 2019.

His final scenes were aired in October and N’jie was replaced by actor Aaron Anthony who took over as Ellis Chapman.

He went on to publicly apologise for his actions, describing it as “completely unacceptable and very much out of character”.

Now, four years later and N’Jie has landed a role in an upcoming movie on Disney+.

The former Emmerdale actor will be back in the limelight for Disney’s Christmas movie The Shepard which is going to be released later this year.

He will be starring alongside none other than John Travolta, as well as Dalgleigh’s Steven Mackintosh and The Split’s Millie Kent.

The Shepard is based on the novel by Frederick Forsyth, telling the story of a fighter pilot who gets lost on his way home on Christmas Eve.

He has had a few other parts since making his exit from Emmerdale though.

Since leaving Emmerdale under a cloud Asan has appeared in BBC One’s Bloodlands opposite James Nesbitt and BBC Two’s Industry.
