In reference to her character leaving the series, Lani's actress Sal Stowers spoke out about Lani's departure from Days.
She told the Dishin' Days podcast: "I'm going to miss telling her story. I genuinely love her story.
"The good, the bad, the flaws, the ugly, the pretty – she's a powerful woman and she didn't start that way."

Sal added: "I'm going to say this for the fans. I haven't been very active on social media lately but I have kinda checked in the past couple days since it's been out that I am no longer on the show.
"You fans are absolutely amazing, I cannot tell you all of the beautiful words and just support and love that you guys have given to myself, and to Lamon (Eli Grant)."
The actress went on to say: "I will take it for the rest of my life. Thank you.
"I'm literally reading Twitter and I didn't know that I touched so many lives and that's why I do this."
"It's to touch the lives of others, to shed light and it made me realize that I did that with my 7 years of being on Days."
What happened to TR?
Terrell Raymond "TR" Coates was first introduced on the show in January 2022.
However, TR's life in the popular soap opera was short-lived, and he was killed off in May 2022.
At the time, he was about to hit Lani's biological mother, Paulina Price, and she reacted by taking her police-issued weapon and shooting him.
Paulina took the blame at first, but the guilt was ultimately too much for Lani to handle, which led to her turning herself in at the police station.

Since 2015, Lani has been portrayed by Sal Stowers.
Born January 20, 1986, Sal, 36, is known for her career as an American actress and model.
Outside of Days of Our Lives, she is known as the 2007 Cycle 9 winner of America's Next Top Model.
