This year Daniel Craig’s final James Bond movie will be released in cinemas. No Time To Die is the British star’s fifth and final 007 film, after playing the fictional spy for more than 15 years on screen. Although the movie was supposed to come out in early 2020, it was pushed back multiple times because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
With a supposedly final release date set for September 30, 2021, Craig’s final premiere as the star of the Bond franchise is reportedly going to cost a staggering amount.
According to The Mirror, plans for the upcoming No Time To Die premiere have been leaked. The event has supposedly been priced up in the multi-millions.
The publication’s source claimed: “MGM and the Bond producers are in agreement.
“They think they can pull off the biggest in-person premiere of the post-pandemic era, and have already put aside a whopping £10million for an event in England that will signal the return of these kinds of flashy movie launches that everybody’s been missing for the last year.”
The source continued: “They are looking at the biggest venues in London, starting with Wembley and going down from there, and have enquired about the Staples Center in Los Angeles for a US premiere.
“MGM and the Bond team have never liked the idea of launching this movie without a red carpet event, which is one of the many reasons they’ve rolled with all the delays.”
The source then referenced the debut of new femme fatale, Paloma, played by Blade Runner 2049 star Ana De Armas.
They said: “You don’t cast Ana de Armas and then not give her the chance to walk the biggest red carpet on the planet.”
Joanna Lumley on the possibility of a female James Bond
The source added: “The money is set aside to do the biggest Bond blowout ever, and they’re full steam ahead on making it work, pandemic and all!”
This wouldn’t be the first time a Bond movie had an enormous premiere event.
In 2015 Bond bosses at production company MGM put on a massive event at the British Museum for the release of the fourth Craig Bond movie Spectre.
The Mexican-themed gathering involved copious amounts of tequila and fire dancers.

If this event does go ahead, Craig will no doubt get a huge shout out from the Bond bosses at MGM to commemorate his final outing at the spy.
The 53-year-old actor has changed the scope and style of the cinematic hero during his time wearing the tuxedo. It was evident the star was looking to alter the look and feel of Bond in his first foray on-screen in Casino Royale.
During the first moments of the 2006 movie, Craig’s character was shown murdering someone in cold blood long before he became a double-0 agent.
All eyes are on how the role will once again change in the future, however.
Over the past year there has been a three-horse race to become 007 after Craig.
While Tom Hardy and James Norton have been frontrunners, they recently slipped behind with 3/1 and 3/1 respectively.
Netflix and Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page is now the favourite to become Bond with Evens on claiming the role.
James Bond No Time To Die is due out on September 30, 2021.
