The Repair Shop expert fixes pair of sparkly stage shoes
Jay Blades has revealed which repair on The Repair Shop took the longest to complete and shared which expert has the most difficult jobs in a series of Q&A’s that he answered.
The 53-year-old took to the show’s official Instagram page to answer a series of questions in a segment called ‘Quarantine and Answer’.
Opening up about which repair took the longest to complete, the BBC star revealed: “The repair that has taken the longest, I think it was the sidecar.
“There was a little sidecar that was on the side of a push bike and Dom worked on it, and it took forever cos we had to order fabric, get things shot blasted and then come back and spray it.
“Dom was making all the inners and he made the roof, done the windows. It was a long time and it was so long I can’t remember.

“I think it was over a month,” Jay continued. “I think that’s how long it took and it’s basically all of the different components.”
The television personality went on to praise expert Dom Chinea for being able to complete the most difficult and challenging jobs on the hit show.
Jay expressed: “Dom has some of the most complex jobs at The Repair Shop, it’s unbelievable.”
The daytime telly star said his greatest achievement is the community work he is able to carry out as a result of working on the show.

Jay revealed a young girl called Verity came into The Repair Shop and she hadn’t smiled for about three to four years.
But as a result of her work with Jay on the show, she was able to smile and get joy from something she enjoyed.
The repair expert admitted that it was a very special moment for him as his love for craft allowed him to help somebody.
