Liam learns Meena may not be convicted for Leanna's murder in Emmerdale

Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) discovered some pretty important news about his daughter’s murder in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale.

After Meena (Paige Sandhu) murdered Leanna, she stole a ring and kept it in her trophy box.

When Liam and Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) came across the trophy box in the allotment, finding Leanna’s ring immediately made Liam realise the box was the answer to proving Meena committed all of the recent crimes in the village.

With Meena’s court hearing approaching, Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) has been on the fence when it comes to testifying against her sister.

On the one hand, the thought of going up against her sister terrifies Manpreet but then again, she’s the only person Meena confessed everything to.

Tonight, Manpreet came across Liam in the allotment.

Distant and withdrawn, Liam eventually told Manpreet what was on his mind.

The police had returned Leanna’s ring because it wasn’t strong enough evidence.

Manpreet was stunned but as Liam explained, other people’s fingerprints are also on the ring – it doesn’t prove Meena killed his daughter.

This sadly means Meena stands a chance of getting away with killing Leanna, but can Manpreet help Liam?

Will she testify so Liam gets justice?
