Lorraine forced to apologise for rude language as she chats with Damian Lewis

Lorraine apologises for swearing on her show

Lorraine was told by ITV bosses to apologise to viewers after swearing live on air during an interview.

The Scottish presenter was speaking to Damian Lewis about his return as Bobby “Axe” Axelrod in the TV show Billions.

Commenting on his character, Lorraine said: “He’s horrible! Isn’t he horrible? You’re so good at doing a horrible person.”

Agreeing Bobby isn’t the nicest of people, Damian gave viewers an insight into what the series is about.

He replied: “It’s a show about a****les being a****les.”

Laughing, Lorraine repeated: “ It is a show about a****les being a****les.”

The actor went on to say every character is the same in the series follows the corrupted influence of money.

She replied: “Also, how it doesn’t make you happy. Because, I watch it and I feel better because I think, ‘I don’t want to be any of them!’”

However, it seemed the duo’s flippant comments didn’t go unnoticed by bosses in the studio as Lorraine was made to apologise for her use of strong language.

As the interview drew to a close, she said: “This is hilarious, I’ve just been told that we have to apologise for you saying a-hole and I said it as well.

“I have to apologise for myself, I thought that was allowed?!”

Damian replied: “Oh really? I apologise, I apologise!”

Lorraine joked: “Everybody watching all went, ‘Oooh’ and they’re so offended, not.”

It seemed viewers found the whole ordeal hilarious as they quickly took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
