Love Island 2021 original male contestants branded ‘trash’ by Shaughna Phillips

Love Island 2020 star Shaughna Phillips has given her honest opinion on the cast of the latest series of the ITV2 dating show.

The former Democratic Services Officer, 27, appeared on Love Island: Aftersun on Sunday night alongside her fellow former islander Nas Masjeed.

She had a few choice words for the male islanders this time around.

Offering her verdict on the latest batch of contestants, Shaughna said: "I like Liberty. I don't like the couple Liberty is in.

Laura replied: "So basically you don't like Jake is what you're saying."

"Basically what I'm trying to get too," Shaughna added.

"I think Liberty really has a chance of going far with anyone she couples up with to be honest."

Laura went on to ask if there's anyone in the famous villa that she's got her eye on.

"Teddy is giving me Ovie vibes. He's cool, he's calm. All of the originals, trash."

A massive gasp followed from the audience and Laura told Shaughna that she appreciated her honesty.

Brad McClelland, Jake Cornish, Toby Aromolaran, Aaron Francis and Hugo Hammond all appeared in the first episode of Love Island on day one.

Shaughna's appearance on the Love Island companion show comes just days after she was touched "inappropriately" by a masseur.

Her masseur allegedly touched her bum while giving her a massage to help drain fluid from her legs following her Lipoedema diagnosis.

In the video, Shaughna detailed the experience and claimed that the masseur pulled down her underwear to massage her bum while she was at the session to help drain fluid from her legs.

Admitting that she was too scared to say anything, she said that she thought some things were very inappropriate, adding: "I just lay there and let it happen."

The former Celebs Go Dating star shared her experience on Instagram and admitted that she didn't think she would share her story.

She penned: "What kind of influencer am I if I don't use my platform to let girls know it is okay to say no?

Shaughna bowed out of her season of Love Island after being dumped by Callum Jones during the controversial Casa Amor challenge.
