Love Island’s Layla ‘cries every day’ after being made to look like ’man-eater’ on show

Love Island star Layla Al-Momani has revealed she has cried every day since getting dumped from the villa.

Layla, 28, has not had the easiest time since leaving the South African villa last week as she's been the subject to racist abuse, which has lead to the bombshell crying every day since leaving the show.

Layla was one of the bombshells that joined the boys in the villa during Casa Amor and she quickly hit it off with 23 year old Will Young.

Viewers watched as Layla and Will flirted, kissed and shared a bed – while he was coupled up with Jessie Wynter – but she now insists she was made to look like a “sexual man-eater”.

Layla told The Sun that she's been "crying every day" since coming out of the villa due to the hate and how she was perceived in the show.

She said: “It’s tough because I feel like I have to defend myself but in a really careful way, because anything I say at the moment, people are just like, ‘oh, but you're this, you're that’.

She has also received a lot of racist abuse, with trolls telling her she’s “not a real Arab”.

“I’m assuming it's just because I was wearing a bikini that makes me not an Arab,” she told the publication.

She went on to say that not all sides of what happened in the villa were shown.

“There were things that were missed out. I understand ITV can’t post everything, they literally can’t but from the chat with the girls the day after I am being attacked for that for apparently not saying certain things that I did actually say. That is frustrating," she said.

Fans were shocked when TikTok farmer Will kissed Layla despite being incredibly stable with Jessie before she went away to Casa Amor.

However, during the recoupling after Casa Amor Will confirmed that he was choosing to stay loyal to Jessie, well, as loyal as he could be at that point, with Layla looking visibly upset by the admission.

But while most people were expecting Jessie to get angry upon learning the truth, she seemed relatively calm.

“I hope you’re okay Will,” Jessie told him, which received a confused look from Layla. “You don’t need to be sorry, it’s fine.”

"I really didn’t think you would’ve done that,” she then added before apologising to Layla for having to get in the middle and calling her a “gorgeous girl.”

After Will's confession to Jessie over his Casa antics, he made it his mission to win her back, and they are trying to make it work.

However the pair might be dealt a blow in tomorrow night's episode, as it has been confirmed that movie night is returning in tonight's episode.

The Love Island staple sees the boys and girls shown what the other villa got up while they were apart and frequently causes drama.

Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
