Love Island fans were left shocked after recently dumped Islander Mary Bedford revealed her unlikely connection to singer and former Loose Women star Jane McDonald.
During an episode of Unseen Bits, Mary confessed the link to her partner Aaron Simpson in scenes shot before they were dumped from the villa.
Mary was discussing her home of Wakefield when Aaron asked about famous people who came from the same place.
Mentioning Jane – who was born and raised in Wakefield – Mary added: "She used to go out with my dad. When they were younger."
Sadly for Jane, Aaron didn't know who she was but fans were seriously impressed by the celeb connection.
One viewer wrote on Twitter: "Somehow rocked by the news that Mary's dad used to go out with Jane McDonald, two people I objectively do not give a s*** about."
Another said: "Jane McDonald is Mary's ex step mum. No way!"
A third tweeted: "Love Jane McDonald. I'm a bit jealous of Mary now."
One said: "They waited until now to reveal that Jane McDonald went out with Mary's dad!?"
And another added: "Jane McDonald used to go out with Mary's dad? What?"

Mary and Aaron were dumped from the Island this week after receiving the fewest votes from the public.
After a day of taking care of their own toy babies while the boys enjoyed golfing outside of the villa, the Islanders were instructed to gather around the fire pit.
Faye Winter, 26, received the first text, which read: “Islanders. Please gather around the fire pit immediately.”
Standing side-by-side together, fashion blogger Kaz Kamwi, 29, then received the second text.
It read: “The public have been voting for their favourite couple. The couple with the fewest votes will be dumped from the island tonight.”
One by one the couples safe were revealed until one remained standing, Mary, 22, and 24 year old Aaron.
The Islanders gave the pair massive hugs before they went off the get their luggage.
"I hope you all do miss me girls, I'll miss you for sure," Mary said before leaving the villa for good.
