Hello, it's Olivia Attwood here with my thoughts on another week in the crazy Love Island villa. It's been a good week, hasn't it? The series has definitely picked up and people have become much more invested as time's gone on.
My Instagram and Twitter have absolutely imploded this week with people thinking Faye Winter was putting her outburst on for airtime and to impersonate me. There's a lot of noise about it and I even made a couple of jokes, but I'm really split down the middle.
If you watch my series back, the night I went on a rampage and fell out with everyone is actually very, very different to what happened with Faye. I fully lost my s**t whereas, to me, she didn't really lose it. I feel like she looked like she was more in control but it just went on and on. I think we are very different, I actually feel sorry for her. I don't think she's had the chance to form her own identity in there because people are being so heavy on the comparison between us. I like her but she obviously didn't handle things correctly.
What we should be mindful of is – and I'm not saying this is the case in this situation – but it was the same with the person that I was coupled up with. Everyone was so judgemental online saying, 'Oh my God, what's her problem? He's an angel, why is she so angry?,' but in the weeks and months after we came out of the villa, people got to know him more and I was getting messages from people apologising because there were two sides to the story. There can be other things that go on in the day that make people angry but we don't see them because they can't show everything. Maybe her reaction looked like an overreaction to us, but there couldn't have been a bit more to it.
I messaged her family the other night because I felt so bad reading all of the comments and I know that my family went through the same thing when I was in the villa, so I just said they need to remember how fickle the public are and that after a few episodes, they do just forget. The strength of people's reactions is very disturbing.
I put up a post joking about her outburst and scored it an 8/10 but people were messaging me asking how I can make a joke of it, calling her a bully and saying she needed to be removed from the villa. When you're in there, it's so much worse for your family because, by the time she comes out, it will all have blown over in quite a big way and nobody will be talking about it.
In the real world, her and Teddy Soares would have been over, that just would have been it. But it's weird in there because you know it's not as simple as that. They know the end is in sight and starting from scratch with somebody else just feels like a pointless activity so it's just easier for everyone involved to just patch things up and move on. At the moment, I'd say any hope of them lasting on the outside world is quite slim. They just feel very different, I'm not sure how they'll fit into each other's lives in the real world. But some couples come out and you think they won't last on the outside world and they surprise you, you never know.
It's a similar thing with Millie Court and Liam Reardon. In the real world, would she have gone back? Maybe not. But when you have very limited opportunities and are living in the same house, you gravitate back towards each other a lot easier than you would without the distance on the outside world. I hope it works out for them. I hope he realises he did make a big mistake and that he gets his s**t together but I guess time will tell. I really liked how Millie did her best to keep him at a distance for as long as she could.
It was good that Jake Cornish was shown egging the boys on in Casa Amor, they couldn't have let him get away with that. The other boys have had a really hard time and the viewers were thinking he would have just got away with everything so showing that made it fair. His reaction was really uncomfortable, you could see he was mortified to watch that back.
Maybe he didn't realise quite how bad it would look because he went so red and was just absolutely sweating, he was in complete shock, he was panicking. Sometimes you think things that you're doing in there can slip under the radar but for him to know that's been picked up and having been shown it edited together, it doesn't look great.
There's no mystery for Liberty Poole now as to why he was in the bottom three, I think she is very into him so it would take a lot for her to be put off him. I think he is a lot more game savvy than she is and if it was vice versa, I don't know what would have happened. He is very much eyes on the prize but I think she's just obsessed with him.
I thought it was the right time for Abigail Rawlings and Dale Mehmet to go but I did feel sorry for Abi, I'd really warmed to her and thought she'd had a hard time in the villa. I was surprised that Mary Bedford was saved over her, I thought she was more part of the group. From a viewing perspective, Mary seems a bit more on the outside so I thought she would have gone. There must be more friendships there that we don't really see.
I find Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank a bit of weird couple to get behind, I'm not fussed on either of them at the moment. I didn't love the way that Kaz treated Matthew and I'm not a fan of the way that Tyler's behaved. I've found him really hard to like. I know all the boys took the p**s in Casa Amor but the way he left Clarisse Juliette just hanging on a string was not great.

I think Aaron Simpson and Mary and Priya Gopaldas and Matthew MacNabb both make really nice pairings. It's bad because everybody should have a fair chance but I find it really hard to warm to couples this late in the show. That makes it really tough for them but I do think it's hard to invest, they each seem like a really good match though. There's chemistry in both pairs which is nice to see.
Chloe Burrows is my favourite girl at the moment, I feel like she has a really good sense of humour and attitude towards things. I think it was good that she entertained Aaron for a bit and made Toby Aromolaran sweat. She's winding him and it's very much deserved.
It's very late in the day now so I don't think Brett Staniland will be able to make a connection. There isn't even an available girl really. I don't think Mary would turn her head from Aaron, she said he was her type and Brett seems the complete opposite. More power to him but I think he'll have a challenge on his hands.
I couldn't believe Hugo Hammond on Aftersun on Sunday, he seemed really angry. I'm a little bit confused. I feel really bad for Amy Day, she was obviously very p**sed off and feels like she's been very stitched up and he was very remorseless and quite angry. When he snapped back and said he was her green card to the villa, I found it a bit weird because every girl that tried to get close to him, he found something wrong. He pushed back on every single girl that liked him so the problem must be with him, not them. I'm just a bit baffled really.
I heard him saying he would like to get to know Priya when she gets out of the villa, they're both academic so I see that but I just don't know if I believe that he'd try to get to know her if he was still in there. He's obviously either very picky or just not at a stage in his life where he's ready to let people in.
