Most unexpected punch-up as Freddie and Patrick fight in EastEnders

When someone says ‘EastEnders punch up’, your mind instantly goes to Phil and Grant Mitchell (Steve McFadden and Ross Kemp), Phil and Steve Owen (Martin Kemp), Phil and… Literally anyone.

What you don’t expect to hear is Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) and Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker).

However, that is exactly what is on the cards in upcoming EastEnders scenes, and it’s all in the name of helping out a friend.

When Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) lands a new job at the betting shop after their ideal candidate fails to show up, he is eager to get stuck in.

Viewers will remember him leaving his interview and bumping into Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin), claiming that she’d want to avoid the place because it smelt like ‘a supervised weekend visit with the kids’.

Despite having no experience other than spending a lot of time a the Walthamstow dog track, he believed that he had what it takes, and luckily, things work out in his favour.

Unfortunately, his endearing personality isn’t enough to win over new boss Olga, and he soon gets on her bad side.

However, Alfie isn’t Alfie without some kind of plan or scheme, and he soon has an idea of how to win her round.

Enter Freddie and Patrick.

Alfie calls on his friends to stage a fight in the shop and, wanting to help him out, they agree to give it their all.

As the pair begin their performance, Alfie is soon resolving the mock fight, impressing Olga along the way.

Will it be enough to help Alfie keep his job?
