PADDY McGuinness accidentally spent £12,000 on holiday in Dubai with his wife Christine.
The TV presenter, 48, was attempting to organise a surprise trip for the model, but landed the huge bill after some serious miscommunication.
Paddy decided to take Christine, 33, to see the dolphins during their babymoon when she was pregnant with her twins Penelope and Leo, who are now eight.
He asked their butler, Bonks, from the Atlantis, The Palm hotel, to help him plan it but something got lost in translation on the way.
Writing about the mishap in her new book, A Beautiful Nightmare, Christine explained: “We got there and the place was deserted. It was just Patrick and I there.
“Obviously there had been some miscommunication or something, because Patrick had asked Bonks to book us to see the dolphins – but Bonks had hired out the whole place for us.
“And we were even more staggered when he handed us the bill – I think it was something like £12,000! We couldn’t afford that at the time.”
She added: “It’s safe to say we’ve not been back since.”
Model Christine has been extremely candid in her new book and has addressed a whole range of topics – including her own autism diagnosis.
The star was told in August that she was "high up the spectrum", having scored highly on a questionnaire measuring for the condition – just like her three children.
