Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will finally return to This Morning next week after month long break

THIS Morning presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will finally return to the sofa next month after a month long break.

Fans feared the famous duo had quit after they failed to show up after New Year, but we can reveal they are scheduled to be back on Monday, January 10.

Holly and Phil did their last show on December 10 and viewers were expecting them this week – but they were replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary instead.

Taking to Twitter to question their whereabouts, those watching at home asked if they had left the show.

One person wrote: “Is it Friday or have Phil and Holly left the show without telling us?”

A second added: “Did Phil & Holly leave & forget to say goodbye? They’ve been off for ages #ThisMorning @thismorning.”

The pair did appear in a festive special on Christmas Day, but he had been prerecorded.

During their time off they have been covered by Vernon Kay and Josie Gibson, as well as Alison and Dermot.

The presenting duo are gearing up for the return of Dancing On Ice, which will see them on TV every weekend as well as weekday.
