Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) is left in shock in Coronation Street next week, as she discovers a secret phone, which Lydia Chambers (Rebecca Ryan) claims belongs to Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson).
Lydia, as viewers know, is on a mission to destroy Adam, who she claims to have had a six month relationship with when they were at college.
The newcomer has spent the last couple of months intricately plotting the solicitor’s downfall, setting him up in a series of different ways.
The latest visit to the cobbles saw her tell Sarah that she’s been having an affair with Adam.
Adam, however, denied such a thing, appalled by the lengths Lydia has gone to in order to ruin him.
The problem is is that Lydia’s wicked plot has been so carefully planned out that all of the ‘evidence’ suggests that she is telling the truth.
Sarah, as a result, doesn’t know who to believe, which forces Lydia to take even more shocking action next week.
The above clip, taken from Friday’s (March 4) hour-long edition of the ITV soap, sees Lydia pay Sarah yet another visit, claiming that Adam is still harassing and texting her.
Sarah demands to see these alleged texts, and when she does, she takes great pleasure in telling Lydia that the messages quite clearly did not come from Adam’s phone.
Lydia, however, claims that Adam has a second mobile, which he’s been texting her from.
Sarah, determined to get to the truth, calls the number in question, and she’s stunned to find a second mobile device in her beau’s cupboard.
Will Adam be able to convince Sarah that he’s innocent in all of this? Or are scheming Lydia’s claims too strong to argue with?
One to watch: Friday March 4 at 7:30pm on ITV.
