Sarah Platt makes a huge confession to her family in Coronation Street | The Sun

SUPER Soap Week in the cobbles exposes serial killer Stephen Reid – a shock to the Platt family who have been linked to him.

Next week in Coronation Street, his niece Sarah finally spills the beans after keeping some of his secrets to herself.

During his time in the ITV cobbles, Stephen Reid (played by Todd Boyce) found his mark in the Underworld factory, where he would often find himself in the company of his niece Sarah (Tina O'Brien).

The pair have enjoyed some one-on-one time outside of their family circle and when the Underworld PA was going through her pregnancy ordeal, Stephen was one of the only residents in Weatherfield to support her.

Stephen clearly had a soft spot for Sarah and helped her lie to Adam Barlow about the paternity of her unborn baby – much to her dismay.

Their tricks didn't work as the solicitor found out Sarah's baby daddy was none other than Damon Hay.

Despite this, Sarah has been wanting to believe the best of her uncle Stephen, even after finding out that he had plans to fleece his mother and her grandmother Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls).

However, next week, the Manchester-based program finally reveals Stephen's downfall and all his secrets come undone.

Realising her uncle is more dangerous than she initially believe, Sarah decides that honesty is the best policy.

The Platt family are stunned when Sarah breaks the news of Stephen defrauding Audrey Roberts and drugging her boss Carla Connor (Alison King).

Later on, after finding him in an altercation with Peter Barlow, Audrey confronts Stephen in his flat and accuses him of stealing her house.

With Stephen's crimes finally coming to light after several months of impunity, could Sarah be considered an accessory and get into legal trouble herself?

Regular viewers of the long-running show will remember that Stephen rocked up Weatherfield in 2022, as Audrey was struggling with her mental health.

When she decided to make him responsible for her fortune, Stephen was delighted as he knew it would give him access to a whopping amount of money.

However, things took a turn for him as Audrey backtracked and Stephen planned to poison her to get his hands on her wealth.

This didn't pan out and, instead, Stephen focused his attention on other potential victims in the likes of Carla Connor and Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox).

While the former was spiked with LSD, the second was clearly infatuated with Stephen and nearly tied the knot with him.

But three years after her last encounter in court with abusive ex-husband Geoff Metcalfe, Elaine learned that history almost repeated itself as Stephen was seemingly planning to kill her after filing a fraudulent life insurance policy in her name.

Elaine left the cobbles after finding out the truth and Stephen moved on to Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews).

The pair are gearing up for a fresh start in Thailand – but could Teddy Thompkins disrupt their plans from beyond the grave as Tim Metcalfe finds his body in the canal?
