Netflix’s reality series gave fans an insight into Los Angeles’s cutthroat business of real estate, where the clients are rich and famous so the agents often had to fight for properties and other clients. After an explosive series filled with drama, star Christine Queen dropped a major clue about the season four release date.
Selling Sunset first aired on Netflix in 2019 and after taking social media by storm, it became an instant hit.
Season three of the reality series first premiered on the streaming platform in August 2020, it instantly took off and quickly became Netflix’s third most-watched show.
Filled with glamour, drama and multi-million luxury buildings, it’s unsurprising viewers were hooked and asking for more – thankfully it was renewed for two more seasons.
Unfortunately, fans were made to wait over a year before an update about the upcoming fourth instalment.
On Wednesday’s episode of This Morning, Holly and Phil were joined by Christine Quinn, one of the many breakout stars from the show.
In the episode, Holly asked the agent if there was any news about season 4’s premiere date, considering the cast were filming for the fifth instalment.
In response, Christine unveiled the exciting news – which could mean Selling Sunset could potentially hit Netflix very soon.
Speaking to Holly, she revealed: “We’ve wrapped [season] four and we’re recording five.”
When asked about a premiere date, Christine continued: “I’ve heard that it’s going to be sometime around, I dunno, turkey-time, Thanksgiving.
“Somewhere around there. Hopefully before Christmas! It will be a little gift for you guys,” she concluded.
Netflix bosses originally confirmed seasons four and five back in May, so fans were pleased to finally hear a long-awaited update.
Sadly season four was met with delays due to the Coronavirus pandemic, production had originally planned to begin filming in September, however, open houses were no longer allowed.
Selling Sunset followed a group of estate agents from Oppenheim Group in Los Angeles, selling multi-million dollar homes to demanding clients.
Owned by twins Jason and Brett Oppenheim, the agency claims to have sold over $1billion (£760million) worth of property.
The series shows what lengths the women of the agency will go to to ensure they close a sale.
This includes screaming matches whenever personal and professional drama get in between the cast members.
It was revealed Emma Hernan and Vanessa Villela would be the new cast members joining Oppenheim Group in the upcoming instalment.
The main cast will also be returning, including Christina, Mary and her husband Romain Bonnet, Jason and Brett Oppenheim, Chrishell Stause, Heather Rae Young, Amanza Smith, Maya Vander and Davina Portratz.
Fans can look forward to some drama in season four as agent Chrishell Stause recently confirmed she was dating her boss, Jason Oppenheim
Selling Sunset seasons 1-3 are on Netflix now.
