Strictly Come Dancing 2021’s line-up just got bigger as CBBC presenter Rhys Stephenson has been confirmed for the next series.
The TV star announced the exciting news on Friday morning on the BBC’s children’s channel, and said he was ‘shocked, elated and already impatient to start’.
He joins the likes of Great British Bake Off’s John Whaite, TV presenter AJ Odudu and McFly singer Tom Fletcher who were announced earlier this week.
In a statement, Rhys said: ‘I am BUZZING to be a part of Strictly Come Dancing 2021.
‘I have dreamt about being on this show, and I know for a fact that it is going to exceed every expectation. I cannot wait to experience it all: the costumes, the orchestra, even Craig’s glare! I am READY!’
Teasing his sparkly outfits, Rhys revealed: ‘I want something with a cape – a cape commands respect. I’m not bothered, just as long as it’s epic.’
His young viewers won’t be missing him on their screens too much as Rhys promised to continue hosting on CBBC.
Strictly Come Dancing will arrive on screens this autumn.
