FANS of The Great British Bake Off – it's time to get excited.
That's because the nation's favourite baking show will be back on Channel 4 in less than two weeks.
The show's official Twitter account hinted viewers wouldn't have long to wait with a teaser video of the famous white tent being released last week.
But now the series 12 premiere date has officially been confirmed,with a whole new set of amateur bakers ready to show off their sweet and savoury goods to Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.
The first episode of the new Bake Off series will air on Tuesday, September 21 at 8pm on Channel 4.
Judges Paul and Prue will be joined by hosts Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas.
A poster for the new series was released on the show's official Twitter today.
It saw the four stars holding white mugs towards the camera with each one spelling out a different word to say 'Bake Off is Back'.
The caption read: "Bake a date in your diaries – we're back!"
Fans were delighted by the news, with one sharing a gif of Noel jumping off a chair in the tent and writing: "Me, trying to jump into the future so it's Sep 21 already."
Another added: "ive never been more excited for anything ever."
A third tweeted: "So happy… Can't wait :)."
Viewers are now desperate to find out who the new batch of bakers are, with their identities being revealed in due course.
