Tiffany Haddish Explains Why She’s Not Yet Ready to Host Her Own Talk Show

The ‘Girls Trip’ actress says she’d happily sign on for an eponymous talk show like ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ after she’s ticked ‘five things’ off her bucket list.

AceShowbizTiffany Haddish would “love” to host a talk show – after she’s ticked off five things from her bucket list.

The comedian told U.S. TV show “Extra” she’d happily settle into a regular TV show in the vein of Ellen DeGeneres – for whom she’s filled in before on her eponymous programme – but she has some things to “accomplish” first.

“I would love to, but there are five things that I must complete before I sit down 179 days of the year and be in a studio, which I don’t mind,” explained the “Girls Trip” star.

“But I have some things I’ve set up and need to accomplish those things first, and then if they will give me, I will be there… And if they want me sooner, come help me finish these five projects.”

Ellen is stepping down from her regular daytime slot in 2022 and, according to reports, singer-actress Jennifer Hudson has already shot a test show – with “Ellen” executive producers Andy Lassner and Mary Connelly serving as the showrunners on the star’s old stage.

Jennifer’s new show would not be billed as a continuation of Ellen and is being shopped as an “entirely new series,” reported Variety, although it’s considered to be Warner Bros. TV’s new flagship daytime talk show once “Ellen” ends.

Tiffany Haddish currently serves as a host of “Kids Say the Darndest Things” revival. The show is entering season 2.
