The fourth instalment of Netflix’s heartwarming series is officially in production after a shocking revelation in the season three finale. After Virgin River shared a funny behind the scenes video on Instagram, fans were quick to notice Preacher (played by Colin Lawrence), which hinted towards his survival.
Taking to Instagram, the show posted a delightful clip of Mel Monroe star Alexandra Breckenridge dancing to Goodies by Ciara on set.
Viewers got an insight into the behind-the-scenes of production as she danced her way from the house to Jack Sheridan’s (Martin Henderson) car.
As the actress made her way down it quickly became visible Preacher was next to Jack’s car before the two shared a dance.
The post which was captioned: ”No matter where you are, you can find your groove,” caused a frenzy with fans as Preacher’s appearance hinted at his survival.

Fans, including lbronner098, who wrote: “Glad to see Preach alive!!!!!,” took to the comments to share their glee.
In response, reneedavidrichard shared: @lbronner098 EXACTLY! That was the same ‘takeaway’ I had here! #PreacherIsAlive!!
“I’m assuming since Preacher is dancing, he’s alive lol,” questioned Kel1055.
While others also commented about Jack, who was also grooving in the car: “Look at Jack dancing in the truck!” said Ssell0917.
Preacher’s appearance in the clip came as a surprise to many fans because the last time he was on screens he had been left for dead.
This came after the arrival of Paige Lassiter (played by Lexa Doig) and her young son Christopher.
The two had relocated to Virgin River, to escape her abusive ex-husband Wes (Steve Bacic).
Unfortunately, Wes was able to track Paige and insert himself back into her life, just after she had become comfortable enough to open up to Preacher about her past.
Just as Wes was about to hit her, Paige pushed him down the stairs in self-defence and accidentally killed him.
In a panic, she decided to leave Christopher with Preacher after Wes’s twin brother Vince showed up.
Later on, Preacher met with someone who called themselves Paige’s old friend and tried to convince him to take Christopher to say one last goodbye to his mother as she supposedly planned to leave town forever.
However, Preacher was insistent on speaking to Paige first, so he followed her friend to the woods where she was apparently waiting.
As they made their way, the pair took a quick detour and the unnamed friend brought Preacher a drink which he sipped on the way to the woods.
When they arrived, he began feeling strange and after realising he had been poisoned he collapsed.
It was later revealed this was Wes and Vince’s plan all along and the friend left Preacher in the woods unconscious, after stealing his phone.
So, his appearance in the clip next to Jack’s truck led fans to believe Jack happened to rescue Preacher, ultimately sealing his survival.
Virgin River season four is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2022.
