Netflix is one of, if not, the biggest streaming service in the world with thousands of smash-hit shows and films in its library. From The Crown and Ozark, to Stranger Things and Sex Education, Netflix has entertained millions of people across the world since it launched 14 years ago. There is no sign of the subscription-based service slowing down either with more shows and films added all the time.

What time does Netflix shows come out?

The release time for new series on Netflix depends on where you are in the world.

They are typically given a worldwide release so everyone around the globe gets access to them at the exact same time.

However, the time itself differs because of the various time zones.

So the specific release time for Netflix shows does entirely depend on your geographical location.

Netflix’s release time for shows is usually just after midnight PST (Pacific Standard Time).

This is because the streamer’s headquarters is based in San Fransisco and so technically in terms of time, it is released there first.

Nevertheless, as previously mentioned, new releases do come out at the exact same time wherever you are in the world.

If Netflix does drop series at 12.01am PST, then this means the same show can be watched from 3am EST (Eastern Standard Time) in America.

Meanwhile, subscribers in the UK have to wait until 8am BST (British Summer Time) for releases to come out.

Most of Europe is around an hour ahead of the UK so new shows will be ready to watch for people living in these countries at 9am.

This is of course not set in stone and may be changed by Netflix for certain releases.

However, this is normally the pattern the streaming service has used over the years.

While June 2021 is nearing its end, there are plenty of new series still on the way.

These include France’s answer to Selling Sunset with The Parisian Agency: Exclusive Properties, street dance soap opera Jive! and  Indian anthology thriller series Ray.

What many subscribers are most looking forward to this month is the return of the reality series Too Hot To Handle.

The dating show will be back for season two this morning on Netflix.

But in order to get access to any of these shows, you must be signed up for a subscription plan.

There are three tiers for Netflix, allowing users to pick how many devices can use their account.

The basic plan is priced at just £5.99 per month while the streaming service’s premium plan is £11.99 per month.

Most customers though typically go for the standard plan which is £8.99 per month.
