NEW game show Don't Ask Me Ask Britain has arrived on ITV – and it has some pretty big comedic heavyweights in the line-up.

So what do we know about Pointless presenter Alexander Armstrong who hosts the interactive game show and who are the team captains? Here's the lowdown…

When is Don't Ask Me Ask Britain on ITV and what is it about?

The sixth and final episode of Don't Ask Me Ask Britain airs on ITV at 8pm TONIGHT (May 23).

Tonight's episode goes head-to-head with Holby City on BBC One, coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show on BBC Two, Secrets of Our Favourite Snacks on Channel 4 and The Yorkshire Vet on Channel 5.

It is an interactive game which involves people at home using an app to answer a variety of moral dilemmas and topical questions as the programme airs.

The celebrity guest line-up then has to guess how the nation has answered.

Who is host Alexander Armstrong?

Alexander Armstrong is a 47-year-old actor, writer and presenter best known for presenting Pointless.

But he has previously starred in a number of TV shows and films, including Wood Allen's 2005 thriller Match Point.

From 2007 until 2010 he took part in BBC comedy sketch show The Armstrong and Miller Show alongside Ben Miller.

Most recently he has been filming Drunk History and Horrible Science TV shows.

Who are the team captains in Don't Ask Me Ask Britain?

Jonathan Ross and Frank Skinner will be the team captains going head-to-head with their celebrities teams.

Jonathan said: “I'm thrilled to be involved with the show – I love the idea of using the latest technology to get to the heart of the matter, and am nosey enough to want to know what the rest of the country think about things – from big political questions to those small challenges that we face every day. I can't wait”.

Frank added: “An hour of live prime time television completely led by an unpredictable public vote. What larks!”
